Kata Philippines has been making a lot noise lately with the grand launch of the Kata Box, the Kata T4 tablet and very recently, the Kata M2 LTE. This new smartphone is the company’s first LTE capable device and running Android 5.1 Lollipop. Our friends from Kata Philippines has sent us a review unit so let’s unbox it!

FIRST IMPRESSIONS
The Kata M2 LTE resembles the Apple iPhone 6s Plus a little bit when looking at it at a certain like angle like side view or at the front. Flip it at the back and it reminds us of the Samsung Galaxy S4 a bit. Its rounded corners makes the M2 LTE manageable to hold with one hand though we find the unit a little slippery. We hope Kata could sell cases for this.
Now let’s check the buttons and ports:
  • Left – volume rockers
  • Right – power/lock button
  • Top – 3.5mm headset jack and USB charging port
  • Bottom – microphone and speaker grill
  • Back – 13 megapixel rear facing camera with flash
  • Front – 5.5-inch display, sensors, and 5 megapixel front camera
We will be using the Kata M2 LTE as our daily driver for a week. Definitely, we will be testing its LTE reach, camera, performance and battery. So far, we are very impressed and we never encountered any hiccups on our first 24 hours using it. :)
